Calif. RV Tax
We're newly retired and can't sell our home, so we're going to rent and hit the road for a couple of years, then come back and figure out where we'll live. However, we really want to stay in California for the first two months of ownership for the grandkids. I thought I read CA laws that if you keep the RV out of state for 50% of 6 months, the you don't have to pay the sales tax? Does anyone know where I can look to figure this out, websites, phone #'s. I've been going in circles and don't feel comfortable believing the RV sales guys knowledge of the laws.
